There’s nothing quite like browsing a room full of books and letting your next favorite story find you. When you shop with Friends of the Pima County Public Library, you support library programs, literacy initiatives, and a sustainable culture of reuse — just by picking up a great book.
At the Book Barn, you’ll find an ever-changing selection of gently used books, vinyl records, puzzles, DVDs, and more — organized and easy to browse. Prices are low, and treasures are many! We sort, clean, and organize all donations with care, so every shopping trip feels like browsing a beloved neighborhood bookstore.

Members-Only Sales
Members-Only Sales are two-day weekend events that take place once per month (excluding July and August) and are open exclusively to members of the Friends of the Library! If you’d like to attend a Members-Only Book Sale, you can join online or just show up and join at the door!

Community Sales
Community Sales are open to the public — members and non-members alike! They are four-day events that take place once per month (excluding July and August), always the weekend following the Members-Only Book Sale. Bring a friend, bring a bag, and leave with stories worth sharing!

Community Sale Daily Discounts:
We offer a 25% discount for active military and disabled veterans, Literacy Connects tutors, and Tucson Values Teachers members. Proper ID cards are required for discounts. Teachers can sign up with Tucson Values Teachers for free on its website, tucsonvaluesteachers.org. Discount applies to regular prices and cannot be combined with other discounts, including Bag Days.
