What do Volunteers do?
Most of our volunteers help us prepare books for sale or work at one of our book sales. We have many jobs available including:
Book Processing
Sorting donated books (standing job)
Scanning donated books for eligibility to be sold online (sitting job)
Pricing fiction and non-fiction books (sitting job)
Pricing AV materials (standing job)
Sorting books for packing (standing job)
Packing books (standing job)
Online book sales
Listing books for sale online (sitting job)
Fulfillment – locating and packaging requested books (standing job)
Book Carts
Managing Book Carts – selecting books, stocking carts, and collecting money at your selected Library location.
Book Sales
Greeter – welcomes customers (sitting job)
Floor – restocks areas during sales (standing job)
Reader – prepares tally of customer’s purchases for the cashier (sitting job)
Cashier– accept payment (primarily standing)
Exit – thanks customers for coming and offers bookmarks (sitting)

Volunteer Orientation
